About
This website is about so much more than you see in its face value. It started following a life-changing event over 30 years ago. At that time I was a much younger version of myself, still under the spell I was invincible and would live forever. Whoever was running the universe at that time stepped into my life and humbled me accordingly. I have since endured a lifetime of hardship and illness, yet here I remain!
I became an official Senior citizen about a year ago. I’m not sure I’ll ever capture the photos I intended to put on this website. For the time being my website is simply a way to exercise my brain, divert my attention from world affairs and maintain whatever’s left of my technical thinking and problem solving skills.
Right now I’m what you’d call a full stack hobbyist. Meaning I set up the servers, install the software and operate the front end and back end systems that keep this website running. The hobbyist designation means I break things – regularly. This forces me to rebuild everything from the ground up – regularly. That in turn keeps my skillset, however small it may be, pretty darn regular. Much like dates and kimchi.
My physical ailments keep me inside more than i’d like. In fact, my primary form of entertainment became staring out a window, the same window, day after day after day. Not good for mental health or so I’m told. I find the technical aspects of maintaining a website engaging enough to distract me from the crazy world we live in. I have no formal training in IT so every day presents a new challenge, requires me to learn something and provides a tiny bit of satisfaction when everything works as it should. It keeps my mind sharp and helps stave off dimensia maybe. So if you made it this far, hey there, thanks for stopping by!
